H. Maria Stadanlick
Womxn @ Work 2024
From Maria
“Raising my two daughters to be strong, kind, confident womxn is my highest purpose, but who I am is so much more than “just” a mom.
I’m also a loving wife, a helpful daughter, a sister who listens, a friend who loves to laugh, a leader, a lifelong learner, a creative artist and a compassionate advocate. I am multifaceted.
Being a nurturing mom makes me more understanding and supportive of my team and their needs. Being creative makes it easy for me to embrace new ideas and value the opinions of my coworkers. Advocating for others through my volunteer work allows me to empathize with students and help them succeed at RISD and beyond.
Of all that I am, I believe that being a mom is my most powerful asset. It continues to bring added value to ALL aspects of my life, but especially my work here at RISD.”
About H. Maria Stadanlick
As RISD’s director of Student Accounts, H. Maria Stadanlick (she/her) has spent the past decade working alongside the incredibly talented Student Financial Services team to change the way we serve our students and families. What was once an office of transactional activity has become a place of compassion, guidance and support.
In addition to her primary responsibilities at RISD, Stadanlick is also the logistics and planning co-chair of the RISD Open Golf Tournament. The funds raised through this annual event make it possible for students facing unforeseen financial difficulties to continue their educational studies at RISD.
Stadanlick is focused on the student and family experience and advocates for transparency. In her time at RISD, she has worked closely with several third-party vendors to foster strong, collaborative relationships. Her contributions as a member of the Nelnet Campus Commerce Client Advisory Board have directly impacted Nelnet’s strategic vision and products.
She also serves as the director of events and social media for the National GRACE Foundation (NGF), a Rhode Island-based organization that assists college-bound cancer fighters and their families in navigating the college admission and financial aid process. Because of the several fundraising events hosted throughout the year, NGF has been able to annually award a $10,000 scholarship to a local pediatric cancer survivor.
Stadanlick’s most rewarding work happens at home in Plymouth, Massachusetts, though, where she is a mom to two beautiful girls who are also figuring out how to make a difference in the world.
