Georgia Rhodes is a Providence-based artist by way of the Midwest. She holds an MFA in Photography from the University of Georgia and a BFA in Art Education from Michigan State University. Her research focuses on collaborations between art and design processes, scientific methodologies and the people practicing these disciplines. As an artist, she is interested in observing the ways people make images and record their world and exploring the ways human anxieties cause us to interact with nature. Rhodes co-facilitates VIS-A-THON, a program designed to reimagine visualization as an evolving process of inquiry, and manages the Microscopy and Advanced Imaging Lab at the Edna W. Lawrence Nature Lab.
