Scott Bodenner

Scott Bodenner merges international textile expertise with a deep commitment to technical innovation and artistic vision. After earning his BFA in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), he developed his craft in prestigious mills in Germany, Switzerland,and Italy. There, his work focused on complex weave structures and innovative techniques for developing new textile qualities from standard warp setups. As the creator of the Bodenner Collection, he pioneered luxury recycled textiles for interiors and groundbreaking designs that incorporate light-refracting and light-emitting properties. His work has been exhibited in the Museum of Art and Design in New York, The Triennale in Milan, and the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco. Drawing from experience in both manufacturing and editorial roles within the contract and residential markets, Scott offers students a unique perspective that bridges industrial production and artistic expression.
