Christy Karacas

Christy Karacas is an animated filmmaker and the well-known force behind Adult Swim series Superjail! and Ballmastrz: 9009, as well as animated cult favorites Space War and Barfight. His award-winning work has screened in festivals, galleries and curated shows around the world including the Annecy International Animation Festival, Ottawa International Animation Festival, GLAS Animation Festival, New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, Deitch Projects, Galleri Loyal, Tribecca Film Festival, MTV, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, HBO Max, Vice and Playboy magazines and on Deathwish Skateboards. 
 
In addition to his independent work, Karacas has over 20 years of professional animation industry experience working as a show-runner, executive producer, writer, director, storyboard artist, animator, character designer and background artist for clients and studios including MTV Animation, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Titmouse, Adult Swim and Vice Media.
