Andrew Shea

Andrew Shea is a painter, critic and teacher based in Providence, RI. He received his MFA in Painting from RISD and his BA (English Literature, Studio Art) from Dartmouth College. He has shown his paintings in exhibitions in New York City; Portland, ME; and Providence, RI.

An internationally published art critic, he has written reviews for The Brooklyn Rail, The Wall Street Journal, The Spectator and artcritical.com, among other publications, as well as catalogue essays for galleries based in Boston and New York City. He has taught drawing and painting at Dartmouth College and teaches introductory design at the Borough of Manhattan Community College.
