Zachary Schumacher is a designer and educator interested in developing new architectural methods of representation that bridge the gap between the computationally described object and the constructed surface. His current research looks into the always-present, yet rarely discussed, embodied dimensions and algorithms embedded within the tools that orchestrate the architectural discipline. He received a Master of Architecture (MArch) from RISD and a Master of Science in Architecture Studies (SMArchS) from MIT. His scholarly work can be found in Contract, Log, Paprika! and Pidgin.
