The department is located in two contiguous
buildings on RISD’s architecture and design corridor. Our location at 345 South
Main Street houses faculty and administrative offices and includes a conference
room and collaborative learning space that serves as a seminar room and home
research space for grad students.
The TLAD+POD Studio Lab at 345 South Water Street – a
converted storefront along the Providence River – provides multipurpose space. It
serves as the central hub for Project Open Door – RISD’s college access program
for creative teens attending urban public schools – along with a curriculum
teaching studio and home studio workspaces for grad students.
